Day 01: Fly Kathmandu to Gongkar, Drive to Lhasa (11,580ft.) 95km

Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Jokhang, Bharkhor & Tibetan Traditional Hospital. Jokhang
Jokhang Temple: Built in the 7th century by King Songtsen Gampo, the Jokhang is the holiest shrine in Tibet. It stands at the heart of Lhasa and remains a spiritual focal point for Tibetan Buddhism.
Bharkhor: Encircling the Jokhang Temple, Bharkhor is a vibrant 800-meter pilgrimage circuit. It offers the best introduction to Lhasa's old town and its deep spiritual traditions, attracting pilgrims and visitors alike.
Tibetan Traditional Hospital: Located on the northern side of Yuthok Lam, this hospital was established by the 13th Dalai Lama in 1916. Rooted in Tantric texts, Tibetan medical science is a unique system where diagnosis relies heavily on pulse reading. Illnesses are believed to stem from imbalances among bodily “humors.” Notably, Tibetan medicine does not employ surgical practices.

Day 03: Sightseeing tour of Potala palace and Drepung monastery. Potala palace:
Potala Palace: The Potala Palace is Lhasa’s cardinal landmark and a structure that deserves a place as one of the wonders of eastern architecture. The construction of the nine-story structure began in 1645. It has been the home of each of the successive Dalai Lamas.
Drepung Monastery: Located 8km west of central Lhasa, Drepung was once the world’s largest monastery, housing around 10,000 monks. The word "Drepung" literally means “rice heap,” referencing the many white monastic buildings stacked on the hillside. It was founded in 1417 by a charismatic monk and disciple of Tsongkhapa named Jamyang Choje.

Day 04: Departure transfer to Gongkar airport and fly from Lhasa to Kathmandu 900km. or Chengdu 2400km
