About Us

Himalayan Hertz Pvt Ltd. is a travel company dedicated to providing unparalleled services for holiday experiences in Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet, as well as other destinations it serves. We focus on unconventional travel that inspires people to embrace sustainability and reduce their carbon footprint. The importance of preserving the Himalayas has drawn global attention, emphasizing the need to maintain a habitable ecosystem for this and future generations.

Mr. Anup Thapa, the CEO and founder of Himalayan Hertz, established the company after spending over a decade in the tourism industry, promoting Himalayan countries worldwide. He has worked for reputable companies in Nepal that cater to ultra-high-net-worth individuals visiting Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet, as well as clients seeking challenging, high-endurance experiences in the Himalayas.
The journey began when Mr. Thapa returned to Nepal after graduating from India and took a job at a travel company. Within a year, he recognized the potential of tourism to contribute to the local economy and support sustainability. However, he prioritized understanding the industry thoroughly before setting a clear vision and goal for his future endeavors.

After a decade of exploration and connecting with like-minded clientele, Mr. Thapa established Himalayan Hertz. As a responsible tourism entrepreneur, he actively seeks international support to make Nepal’s tourism sector sustainable. His vision includes restoring rivers to their pristine state, creating forests teeming with wildlife, keeping mountains free of litter, reducing plastic in cities, minimizing carbon emissions, and fostering an environmentally conscious society that lives in harmony with nature.

Message from CEO

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my mentors and employers for helping me unlock my potential and deepening my understanding of the tourism industry. This journey has been rich with invaluable experiences, and I am eager to bring this expertise forward to serve my clients even better. My purpose is to resonate harmoniously with nature, people, and everything that surrounds us, so that, one day, I may reflect and say, ‘What an extraordinary journey it has been,’ before leaving this world peacefully.” – Mr. Anup Thapa

Vision

Himalayan Hertz, a dedicated tour operator, is pioneering sustainable tourism practices to foster environmental awareness within communities across the country. Recognizing the delicate balance of natural resources, wildlife, and community dependence on the environment, we champion initiatives to reduce plastic usage, promote greenery, conserve wildlife, and uplift communities through responsible tourism.

The fast-disappearing glaciers in the Himalayas have become a global concern, threatening the harmony of life on Earth. Our advocacy in conserving these glaciers and embracing sustainability with the support of the global community marks the inception of an open dialogue. We invite you to join hands with us in achieving this vital goal together.

Mission

Nepal has experienced rapid development, but this progress has come at a significant cost to the environment. Poorly managed urban planning, the destruction of walking trails in hilly and mountainous regions, encroachment on wildlife habitats, reckless resource extraction, and unplanned road expansions have led to direct conflicts between nature, humans, and animals.
Thus, our mission is to raise awareness about these urgent issues, which can be resolved through prompt action and collaboration with stakeholders committed to promoting sustainability and responsible tourism.

At the same time, we aim to help our esteemed clients experience and embrace the natural wonders this country has to offer — from the towering mountains of the Himalayas to the pristine snow-fed rivers, from the legendary Yeti of the highlands to the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger of Nepal’s Terai flatlands.

Himalayan Hertz remains committed to its mission and vision and invites everyone to support its cause for the betterment of humanity.
